Family trip to Harper's Ferry- where Tim proposed to me back in Nov 08 up on top of the mountain you see in the background!! Grandma Fanus and Eva's first time to visit the historical town. I guess she really wants to try ice cream- no, Pop Morris, not yet!! :)
Suzi graduated from college with her nursing degree! Evangelyne was surrounded by her aunts and grandparents- lots of love!!
Her 1st experience on a boat- no rides yet because the life jackets weren't big enough, but grandma watched Eva so mommy could go wakeboarding and jetskiing. :)
I've been reading an incredible and extremely helpful book, by Gary Thomas, it's called "Sacred Marriage". And here's a quote from it; I hope it encourages you, if you're married or if you are not:
"Christian marriage is marked by discipline and self-denial...Christianity does not therefore decpreciate marriage, it sanctifies it."
The quote is by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I will occasionally be posting other quotes and excerpts from this book and other books in the future. -TW
Evangelyne had her 2 month checkup yesterday- her stats are: 10lb 9oz - 50% 23 in - 75% 16 in head - 90%
She had to have 3 shots (6 immunizations)! Poor girl! She needed lots of TLC after them and was so wiped out that she slept 12 hours! Wow! The last 3 nights she has also successfully slept through the night- varying 7-12 hours! Praise the Lord!!! I am appreciating greatly being able to get more sleep!
First Anniversary and First Mother's Day all in one...I bet that doesn't happen too often! :) Evangelyne's Aunt Kristin and Aunt Katie came to visit and watch her so that Tim and I could go out and celebrate our 1st year together and all the sweet blessings it has entailed!
Eva was introduced to the mirror earlier, but this is the first time she seemed to enjoy looking in it. Also working on that neck and back strength! :)
…even though my conscience accuses me of having grievously sinned against all of God's commandments and of never having kept any of them, and even though I am inclined toward all evil, nevertheless, without my deserving it at all, out of sheer grace, God grants and credits to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I had never sinned nor been a sinner, as if I had been as perfectly obedient as Christ was obedient for me. All I need to do is to accept the gift of God with a believing heart. The Heidelberg Catechism
